Suppressor Makers Report Sellouts, With Restocks Pushed to Early 2027
Suppressor sales jumped so fast after ATF's Oct. 9 guidance that most manufacturers have sold out most of their near-term allotments and won't restock until the first quarter of 2027 or later, Shooting News Weekly reported Oct. 14 from the NASGW Expo in Phoenix. One manufacturer SNW did not name said "every major manufacturer in the United States is out of inventory" and that it will take 90 to 120 days to ramp back up. Banish Suppressors, the only maker named, called its Expo sales "SUBSTANTIAL" and said it needs an extra two weeks to fill new orders with production running 24 hours a day.
The suppressor rush is already spilling into the rest of the build. Attendees at the NASGW Expo told Shooting News Weekly that short-barreled rifles and related accessories, down to cleaning kits, are moving with the cans. A buyer who can't get a suppressor until 2027 can still buy the host rifle and the gear around it today, and that is where dealers can catch the demand the factories can't fill.
