Shimano Buys Out Jackall, Its Lure Partner Since 2010

Shimano has bought all of Jackall, the Japanese lure maker whose baits it has sold since 2010 and with which it co-developed the Poison bass rods, Angling International reported Oct. 28, with no price disclosed. The quiet asset is the rod line: Poison rods were built with Jackall, and full ownership means no future buyer of Jackall can walk off with half of a Shimano bass rod franchise. Other tackle majors with long co-branded partnerships have the same exposure in front of them.

Keep glassing.
