Primary Arms Optics Hands Its Expanding U.S. Production to Carson Heck

Primary Arms Optics promoted Carson Heck to director of manufacturing and quality, putting him over manufacturing, quality inspection, repair and operations for all of its products, the Houston company said Oct. 26. Heck, a product engineer there since 2020, built the engineering system and production line for the PLx HTX-1 enclosed pistol red dot, which the company calls its first optic made in the United States, and the release says he will raise standards "as more of the lineup is built in the United States." Primary Arms named no products or volumes for that shift. Heck's is the fourth senior promotion the company has announced on its blog since Oct. 5, after Stephen Morgan, Jeff Scheider and Robert Sheets.
