NSW Opens Gun Buyback Bookings With Six Police Stations From Nov. 2
NSW opened bookings for its gun buyback on Oct. 26, but only six police stations take guns from Nov. 2, and the last stage opens Feb. 8, 2027, a week before the upper house inquiry into repealing the gun laws must report. A voluntary scheme still rolling out when voters decide in March whether to keep it invites owners to wait, and the slow, appointment-only pace works in the boycott's favor. For dealers and importers, the real buyback number will be set by the election, not by the government's 274,000 estimate.
