Moultrie and BOOYAH's Parent Adds 13 Watersports and Marine-Safety Brands as PRADCO Acquires Kent Outdoors
PRADCO Outdoor Brands, the EBSCO Industries subsidiary behind Moultrie, Summit, Whitetail Institute, Heddon, BOOYAH, YUM and Bobby Garland, said Oct. 1 it has acquired Kent Outdoors, the 1959-founded owner of HO Sports, Hyperlite, BOTE, O'Brien, Connelly, Kent Safety Products and seven other watersports and marine-safety brands. PRADCO calls it its first investment in watersports and marine safety and says it will back product development and additional brand acquisitions in those categories. Kent keeps its leadership team: CEO Randy Hales oversees the transition through 2026, and President CJ Vlahovich stays on to run the business. Terms were not disclosed; the stated acquisition plan signals PRADCO intends to build out a second category around Kent.
