Kimber Says California-Compliant 2K11 Double-Stack 1911s Are Ready to Ship

Kimber put four configurations of its 2K11 double-stack 1911 through California's Handgun Roster on Oct. 6, about a month after SIG did the same with the P211. Two premium makers engineering for the roster suggests the 2011-style pistol has grown big enough that skipping the largest restrictive state now costs real sales. Kimber's bet is that California buyers will pay $2,399 and up for a gun the rest of the country could already buy.
