ICIJ: Fleet Farm Kept Selling Guns to a Buyer Its Manager Flagged

Fleet Farm, which settled Minnesota's suit for $1 million while denying wrongdoing, has already changed how at least one other Minnesota gun shop sells. John Monson, owner of Bill's Gun Shop and Range, told ICIJ he tightened his straw-purchase procedures and that the Fleet Farm suit was a major factor: "we're like they're going to come after us next." Minnesota's case is setting compliance policy at stores it never sued.
