Hatsan USA Recalls About 16,170 Blitz Air Rifles Over Projectile Hazard
Hatsan USA is recalling about 16,170 Blitz and Blitz 777 pre-charged pneumatic air rifles sold from February 2020 through March 2026 for about $800 to $1,100, according to an Oct. 15 CPSC notice. The select-fire rifles can fire unexpectedly when the bolt is released before the rifle is fully cocked; Hatsan has one report of an accidental misfire and no injuries. Owners should stop using them and contact Hatsan USA for a free trigger-assembly replacement, which is mailed with instructions, or ship the rifle to Hatsan on a prepaid label. The rifles were sold at sporting goods stores and gun shops nationwide and through Utah Airguns, Airgun Depot and Pyramyd Air.
