Bass Pro Opens Its Fifth New York Store in Victor Nov. 12

Bass Pro Shops is opening its fifth New York store, a 90,000-square-foot Outdoor World in Victor, on Nov. 12, one night after its Sayreville, N.J., opening. The chain is timing Northeast openings to hit the deer opener and the holiday season at once, betting its gun and boat counters pull traffic in the weeks that matter most to hunters. Two openings in two nights is a land-grab cadence, and it lands on the region's independents right at the deer opener.
