Beretta Turns 500 With Numbered Editions and a Dealer-Collected Buyer Medal
Beretta reached its 500th anniversary on Oct. 3, dating its founding to the Venetian Arsenal's 1526 payment of 296 ducats to Bartolomeo Beretta for 185 arquebus barrels. ShootingUK reports the anniversary program runs to ten one-off guns and seven limited or special editions, among them the 687 Silver Pigeon 500 Years in 1,526 field and 1,526 sporting guns and the BRX1 500 Years straight-pull in 1,526 rifles. In markets running the scheme, anyone who buys a new Beretta in 2026 and registers the warranty can claim a commemorative medal from the selling shop, with collection starting mid-October for July-September registrations. U.S. medal terms and edition pricing were not specified in the coverage.

Oklahoma's 2027 Rules Would Make Nonresident Deer Hunters Wait Two Days
Oklahoma's same-day nonresident deer hunt would end at the license counter. If adopted, a two-day wait for in-season nonresident buyers hits the hunter who drives in Friday to hunt Saturday, and the outfitters and lodges who book him. Operators selling short-notice nonresident hunts would have to move the license purchase into the booking call.
